2. What this website does not do

Leaving out the following techniques is an architectural decision rather than a disclaimer added afterwards. The corresponding functionality does not exist:

• no cookies and no consent banner, because nothing requiring consent is used
• no web analytics, no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no other tracking
• no profiling, no fingerprinting, no visitor or session identifiers
• no external fonts, icon libraries or CDN resources
• no social media plugins and no embedded feeds
• no contact form and no newsletter
• no local storage used for analytics

All content, graphics and typefaces are served from this site’s own hosting or are system fonts already present on your device. Loading this website therefore establishes no connection to any third party.

3. Hosting and delivery

This website is served as a static site via Amazon Web Services. The files are stored in the European Union and delivered through the Amazon CloudFront content delivery network.

The provider is Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL, 38 Avenue John F. Kennedy, 1855 Luxembourg. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the provider.

CloudFront is a globally distributed network. Requests are normally served from a location near you; processing outside the EU cannot be entirely ruled out technically. Where that occurs, the transfer is based on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses together with the provider’s supplementary commitments.

4. Technically necessary processing when a page is requested

Serving a page over HTTPS is technically impossible without transmitting certain data. The delivering service processes in particular:

• the IP address of the requesting device
• the date and time of the request
• the requested address and the volume of data transferred
• the HTTP status code
• the transmitted browser and operating system identifier (user agent)

This data is required to deliver the page to your device at all and to keep the infrastructure operational and secure. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest lies in providing the site reliably and securely.

No access logs are enabled for visitor analysis. Usage behaviour is not evaluated and, with the means in place, cannot be. The controller does not store the data listed above beyond what technical delivery requires.

5. Contact by email

There is no contact form. Contact is made exclusively by email, using the addresses given on this website. If you write to me, I process the details you send — typically your name, email address, possibly your company, and the content of your message — in order to handle your enquiry.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the enquiry concerns entering into or performing a contract, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR based on the legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.

The enquiry addresses on this website are topic-specific. They encode only the topic requested, the language of the page and the month they were generated. They contain no IP address, no value derived from one, and no identifier that could be attributed to a particular person. Website visits are not linked to enquiries on a personal level.

Email for this domain is operated by the domain and mail provider Namecheap, Inc. (Phoenix, Arizona, USA) acting as a processor. When you make contact by email, the content is processed and stored there. The basis is the provider’s data processing addendum under Art. 28 GDPR; for the transfer to the USA it relies on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses under Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR. Messages are deleted once they are no longer required for the purpose and no statutory retention obligation applies.

6. Retention

Technically necessary connection data is processed only for the duration of delivery and is not stored for analysis. Email correspondence is deleted once the purpose no longer applies; statutory commercial and tax retention periods remain unaffected.

7. Your rights

Subject to the statutory conditions, you have the right to:

• access the personal data processed about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
• rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
• erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
• restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
• data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
• object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR)

A message to ssd-impressum@denker.space is sufficient to exercise them.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The competent authority for the controller is the Unabhängiges Landeszentrum für Datenschutz Schleswig-Holstein, Holstenstraße 98, 24103 Kiel, Germany.

8. No automated decision-making

No automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR takes place.

This notice describes the technical state of this website. It will be updated if the actual processing changes.
